Terry Anger 2018-02-18 00:00:00 Simply Jesus: The Gospel according to Mark Mark 1:21-28 It was D.L. Moody, who once was quoted as saying, “Every significant advance of the gospel has always been met by a counter-attack of the enemy.” The one who is striving to be effective in ministry for the Lord had better be prepared for some resistance from the “arch-enemy” of God and His people.
Terry Anger 2018-02-11 00:00:00 Simply Jesus: The Gospel according to Mark Mark 1:1-14 What do you do when Jesus calls? What is the appropriate response to Christ? This is the question that four young fishermen faced along the shores of the Sea of Galilee. And it is the question that we must still face today!

Terry Anger 2018-01-21 00:00:00 How to behave in the house of God 1 Timothy 6:11-16; 20-21 As Christians, we do not fight this good fight of faith for victory – Rather, we fight it from victory! And the preposition makes all the difference, because if the fight were up to us we would surely lose, because we are no match for the enemies of our faith. In this message, we examine what it takes for the one who has trusted Christ to go the distance and be declared the champion in the good fight of the faith.
Terry Anger 2018-01-14 00:00:00 How to behave in the house of God 1 Timothy 6:6-10; 17-19 Continuing with his denunciation of false teachers, the apostle Paul address their primary motivation – Using a religious platform to pad their own pocketbooks! In this message, we will address both the problem of greed and its destructive pathology.
Terry Anger 2018-01-07 00:00:00 How to behave in the house of God 1 Timothy 6:1-2 A recent survey taken reports that 70% of working people do not like their jobs; 90% said that they did not feel like getting up in the morning to go to work. It said that for many their job is merely a “necessary evil” to finances their indulgences. This is reflected in a popular bumper sticker, which reads, “I owe, I owe, So, off to work I go!” For the Christian, however, work needs to be seen as a sacred duty given to man prior to the fall and not because of it (Cf. Genesis 2:15). The workplace is the arena in which the believer lives out their Christian lives letting their light “shine before men” (Matthew 5:16) so that others might see their behavior as different from other employees.

Terry Anger 2017-12-24 00:00:00 Christmas by the Book Luke 2:8-20; John 1:1-17 Luke 2:12 is telling us that the particular circumstances of Jesus’ birth are important. They are part of the message from God. After all, Jesus could have been born in any circumstances God chose. What is the message of the manger? What is God saying to us? What do we learn about the way God works? About who Jesus is?
Terry Anger 2017-12-17 00:00:00 Christmas by the Book Luke 2:1-7; Romans 11:33-36 Concerning how God does things, Romans 11:33 reminds us that the wisdom of God is elusive (Meaning of the word “unsearchable”) to the human mind and His ways cannot be fully explored (Meaning of the word “inscrutable”). When it comes to God’s method of bringing the Messiah into the world it baffles man’s logic, and what seems foolish to man becomes the fulcrum by which the mystery and majesty of God are revealed!
Terry Anger 2017-12-10 00:00:00 Christmas by the Book Hebrews 1:1-4 The Christmas story began not at Bethlehem’s manger, but rather in the heart of God whose desire it was, through all of time, to communicate with man – And the final and fullest expression of His message came through the Messiah, the eternal Son of God who became the earthly Word of God to man.
Terry Anger 2017-12-03 00:00:00 Christmas by the Book Galatians 4:1-7 Have you ever stopped to consider how important timing is in everything that exists? The question we are asking is this, “Does one minute really make a difference?” You see, on minute, one sixty-second interval of time, placed in just the right location can make all the difference in the world. Both the time and timing was exactly right for God the Father to send the Son into the world – That represents the miracle of a moment!

Terry Anger 2017-11-19 00:00:00 How to behave in the house of God 1 Timothy 4:6-16 In the text before us God speaks plainly about what His expectations are for men called to lead His people. These are the standards by which every minister is to be measured.
Terry Anger 2017-11-12 00:00:00 How to behave in the house of God 1 Timothy 4:6-16 There is a great misunderstanding that often exists, regarding the pastors key responsibilities, amongst those who are professing believers. By what standard or measure is the pastor to be evaluated? What is a “good” pastor according to God’s standards? This is what we are discussing in this portion of our study from the Pastoral Epistle known as First Timothy.
Terry Anger 2017-11-05 00:00:00 Reigniting reformation fire 1 Corinthians 4:1-7; Romans 11:33-36 The first question posed in the Westminister Shorter Catechism is, “What is the chief end of man?” The accurate response to the question is as follows: “The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.” God’s glory is a big deal in Scripture and it ought to be a big deal to us as well. John Piper comments: “The vindication of God’s glory is the ground of our salvation, and the exaltation of God’s glory is the goal of our salvation…God’s glory is the goal of all things.”

Terry Anger 2017-10-22 00:00:00 Reigniting Reformation Fire Ephesians 2:1-10; Romans 3:9-17 The saying, “The elephant in the room,” is an English-language metaphorical idiom for an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss. Friends, sola gratia, or “grace alone” is God’s elephant in the room for it address a problem that the natural man would rather ignore altogether – That man is utterly and totally unable to save himself through any attempt at self-righteousness!
Terry Anger 2017-10-15 00:00:00 Reigniting reformation fire Ephesians 2:1-10; Romans 3:9-17 The Reformers understood the importance of the grace of God to the Bible’s teaching on salvation. In fact, one of the slogans that came to define Reformation teaching was sola gratia, which is Latin for “by grace alone.” Christians are saved by the grace of God alone. This was the Reformers, “line in the sand,” so to speak! It was the ecclesiastical “high noon” in church history.
Ben Emery 2017-10-08 00:00:00 Reigniting reformation fire Romans 4:1-5 God accepts people on the condition of faith alone, not on the condition of obedience. Often times we recognize this as Christians for our initial salvation but we forget about it for the rest of our lives. Here we look at obstacles to our faith and how to grow our faith as Christians.
Terry Anger 2017-10-01 00:00:00 Reigniting Reformation fire 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 On October 31, 1517, a German Monk by the name of Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the castle church door at Wittenberg Germany beginning what would be known in history as the Protestant Reformation. This year marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and this month we will be bringing a series of five messages on the “sola’s” of the Reformation. We launch this week with Sola Scriptura.
